Japan has been promoting regenerative medicine using induced pluripotent stem cells, or iPS cells, as a national strategy. That research has led to some promising results, including a possible treatment for Parkinson’s disease. We spoke about this with Takahashi Jun, a professor at Kyoto University’s Center for iPS Cell Research and Application, or CiRA.
