After years of levodopa treatment, a new and often more complex symptom profile emerges:
Dyskinesia
Hallucinations
“On/off” motor fluctuations
Impulse control issues
Cognitive changes
These aren’t typical of untreated Parkinson’s-and many of them may be caused or worsened by the treatment itself.
To describe this shift, we could call it LPD: Levodopa-Treated Parkinson’s.
