Parkinson’s doesn’t just create challenges.

Parkinson’s doesn’t just create challenges.
It creates awkward moments.
Moments when your body doesn’t cooperate.
Moments when your brain suddenly goes blank.
Moments when people stare, misunderstand, or make assumptions.
Getting stuck in a doorway.
Choking while eating.
Drooling during a conversation.
Forgetting what you were about to say.
Taking forever to get out of a chair.
Needing a bathroom immediately.
Having your voice become so quiet that others ask you to repeat yourself.
None of these moments define us.
But they can be frustrating, embarrassing, and difficult to explain to people who have never experienced them. They are part of living with Parkinson’s, but they never diminish your strength, your character, or the meaningful life you continue to build each day.
Which Parkinson’s-related moment has been the most awkward for you, and how do you usually respond? ⬇️
